Overview
At Send A Blessing™, protecting our users' privacy and security is a top priority. For this reason, we have adopted the following policy to advise you of your choices regarding the use of your personal information online. This policy describes what types of information we gather about you, how we use it, under what circumstances we disclose it to third-parties, and your rights to update or correct it.

 
Scope of Policy
This policy applies to Send A Blessing™ (www.sendablessing.com) It does not apply to other companies' or organizations' web sites to which we link. Please review the privacy policies of those web sites to determine how they treat your personal information.


INFORMATION GATHERED FROM ALL VISITORS

Cookies, stored on your computer's hard disk, are information packets which contain details that facilitate your visit to our web site. When you login to Send A Blessing™, our server sends your computer a "cookie" consisting of your membership number, your email notification preferences, details about your most recent visit and total number of visit to our site, and so forth. The cookie lets our server recognize you each time you return to Send A Blessing™, so that you do not have to login each time.

 
You will need to make sure your web browser is set up to receive cookies in order to use certain features on Send A Blessing™. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you prefer, you can adjust your browser settings to notify you when you've received a cookie.

Send A Blessing™ may send its members email in the following circumstances:

New eCards Announcments
At Send A Blessing™, protecting our users' privacy and security is a top priority. For this reason, we have adopted the following policy to advise you of your choices regarding the use of your personal information online. This policy describes what types of information we gather about you, how we use it, under what circumstances we disclose it to third-parties, and your rights to update or correct it.


Personalized eCard Notices
When you order any eCards from our Site, we will inform you by email when the eCards have been sent from our server and picked up by the recipients. We will send a non-delivery notice in the event an eCard cannot be delivered.

Special Date Reminders
If you enter birthdays and/or anniversaries in your Address Book, you may receive an email reminder for each occasion.

 
Renewals
When your membership is about to expire, we will send you up to three renewal reminders. If you have not renewed after the third notice, or if you have chosen to cancel your membership at any time, we will not contact you further.
Help Response
We reply to Help requests when appropriate. We may also send you such notices as password reminders and confirmation of payment or renewal.
Email Preferences
If you wish to change your preferences for which emails you receive from Send A Blessing™, please select the My Info button under your name in the main menu.

MANDATORY COMMUNICATIONS

Send A Blessing™ reserves the right to communicate with you from time to time about important administative, policy, legal, credit card, and billing matters, which will affect your use of our Site, including without limitation any alleged violations of our Terms of Service.

 
These communications are mandatory.

INFORMATION GATHERED FROM MEMBERS

If you elect to purchase a Membership on Send A Blessing™, you will be required to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including your name, email address, credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and country (this required information is subject to change from time to time). Please note that we do not retain in our database your billing information, such as credit card numbers and expiration dates. We may use your email address to contact you if you have chosen to receive communications from Send A Blessing™. There will also be opportunities for you to provide us with additional information regarding your preferences and interests. This information, however, is not required and is completely optional on your part.

If you use our web site to send an eCard or any other content, we collect your email address and your recipient's email address. This information is necessary to send the content and provide confirmation that it has been received. As a necessary part of the process of sending eCards, the recipient details and personal messages which you enter when you send a card are stored in our database. This also enables you to review cards you have sent by using your Card Archive. We will not divulge any of this information to any third party now or at any time in the future without first asking your permission.


Information Privacy
We treat all of our eCard products as private correspondence between the member and the recipient. We will not disclose the contents of any eCard other than to the intended recipient, except under the specific situations outlined in Disclosure Exceptions, right. This policy applies to all aspects of our eCards, including your personalized messages. Under normal circumstances, we will not monitor or edit the contents of the eCards you send. On occasion, however, we may beed to view your message in connection with the technical processing of your eCard or the maintenance of our network.

Analysis of Data
We may use the information collected on the Site (principally membership information, Card Archive, and information submitted by you using our feedback form) to improve our service. For example, if we find that many people are sending a particular type of eCard, we may decide to develop more cards of that type. Any information gained in this way will not be shared with any third party.

 
Disclosure Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above policies, we reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information to appropriate third-parties if required by law or if we believe that such an action is necessary:

•  To comply with legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order;

•  To protect Send A Blessing's™ rights and property;

•  To investigate reports of users sending material using a false email address or users sending harassing, threatening, or abusive messages;

•  To protect against unauthorized use or misuse of our Site and/or the Send A Blessing™ service;

•  During emergencies, such as when we believe someone's physical safety is at risk.


YOUR CONTROL OVER YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

If you are a registered Member, you have the ability to review and correct your personal information at any time. Simply log onto the site and click the "My Info" button under your name on the main menu. There you can change your address information, email type, login, password, and email permissions.

 
You can also revise, add, delete, or completely cancel all Send A Blessing™ email alerts.

OTHER MATTERS

Protection for Children—COPPA Compliance
We are committed to protecting the privacy and rights of children online. We believe that children should be able to use the Internet in a safe, productive, and efficient manner and should be afforded the highest protection available with respect to their personal information. To that end, we have made it our policy to not collect any individually identifiable information from users whom we know are under the age of 13.

Sale of Assets
In the event that Send A Blessing™ and/or its units or subsidiaries are ever sold, acquired, merged, liquidated, reorganized, or otherwise transferred, we reserve the right to transfer our user databases together with any personally identifiable information contained therein, to a third-party acquiring Send A Blessing’s™ assets. In the event we do so, we will place a prominent notice of the sale on the homepage of our site, with links to information as to how you can change your privacy preferences.

Data Security
When you purchase a Membership in Send A Blessing™, your personal information for payment is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to protect the storage and transfer of your data.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
Send A Blessing™ will occasionally update this Privacy Policy in response to changing business circumstances and legal developments. If there are material changes to this Policy or in how Send A Blessing™ uses your personally identifiable information, Send A Blessing™ will prominently post such changes prior to implementing the change. Send A Blessing™ encourages you to periodically review this Policy to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

 
Use Common Sense Online
Even the best policy can't protect your online privacy and security in all circumstances. Unscrupulous advertisers, hackers, and scam artists are constantly searching the Internet looking for new targets. Your best protection is to understand the limits to privacy on the Internet and use common sense in all of your on-line activities.

Be aware that email is an inherently insecure form of communication. Remember that third parties are sometimes able to illegally intercept your unencrypted messages, including online eCards. Anytime you visit a chat room or post a message to an on-line bulletin board, your email address can be accessed by advertisers looking to compile lists for unsolicited commercial email (also known as spam). Be sure that you only disclose your email address in circumstances in which it is safe to do so.

Beware of scams in which persons unknown to you request your screen name, password, or credit card information. Make sure you verify the identity of anyone asking for personal information. Always monitor your children's on-line activities and educate them as to the rules for safe Internet use.
